Zeke is my baby brother. He and his wife, Jd, are due any day now with their little girl! She is going to be so beautiful. How do I know? Well...just take a look at her parents! On Christmas Eve morning, we sneaked out to a local park in Artesia, New Mexico to shoot a Petite Maternity Session.
I'm so glad they decided to do a maternity session! If you know Jd and Zeke you know that they are pretty laid back and low maintenance. And I love that about them! But I wanted them to be able to remember everything about this experience of growing their first child. I see the excitement in them every time I see them. They are so ready for her to be here, but, in all the excitement we forget those feelings of anticipation when baby arrives and it's gone. Hopefully they can look back on these images and the excitement (and more) that they felt! It hasn't been a simple pregnancy for them but when I look at these images all I see and feel is pure joy!
Jd just amazes me with her natural beauty! I loved editing these photos and just being dazzled over her lovely glow.
We got a late start on this session because, hey, it was Christmas Eve! We took our time and as the sun got higher we moved to my mom's backyard for a change in scenery.
Of course, their dog Trunks had to get in there! I am so excited to meet this baby girl! Life is changed so much for the better when a precious child is conceived. The depth of love that you experience as you await your child's arrival as well as when the waiting is over, takes you on such a precious journey and I am so blessed when I am able to witness that in others!
